Wha-? I didn't even know about this competition until now.

Would've voted for either wander or stoopdapoop, but everyone did a good job.

Edit: Oh, the polls are still open. Wander it is, then.

The wanderer, for something with such a low poly count that looks amazing, it may be the lighting, but regardless no one said you can't use lighting to make your models look better.

wow i didnt expect to be doing this well. Gratz to all the entries, i love them all more than my entry for some reason. Maybe i am my own worst critic.
and btw that "lighting" is my second failed attempt at Clay renders in XSI :D

I'd like to say that I think alminie's model was alot better than his votes might suggest.

But thanks for the votes guys :) I look forward to the next competition.

Alminie, I think your model is nice, but it looks a little bit of a snub. It doesn't seem tall enough.

I didn't vote though, so I guess my word doesn't really matter....

Out of curiosity, how do you make sure that this model was really made with speed rather than it being a model that they had already previously made?

one way you 'can' do it is to asign each person a reference pic, to model from. :P

we don't really make sure that people don't cheat, it's a word of honor.

I do build a case for myself personally. I have screenshots at different timepoints with an irc conversation on the right with timestamps so that I can't forge the numbers. I bet others either record, or aren't worried about it because they're confident nobody will dispute it.
