Speed Challenge #5 - Food

Postby BaRRaKID on Sat Mar 15, 2008 6:37 pm

Here is SMC #5, as usual don't forget to always add:

- A render
- A wireframe
- Tri count
- Time spent creating the model

For this challenge you will have to create food. You have 120minutes (2 full hours) to create the model. The model cannot be skinned, but you can post a skinned version as an wip.
Don't forget that the 2hours are just to be used as a reference. It's ok if you take more than that to create the model.

We recommend that you post your final picture using a clay render, click here to learn how to do it.

The rules can be found here
There are no no links with reference images, since there is allot to choose from :P

The challenge will end tomorrow at around 7pm GMT, go here to see how much time you've left.

Good Luck everyone :)
I've no sign

hmm, you know this is going to be hard to make something that looks vaguely interesting and yet complex. Might sit this one out, but i'll look at what other people come up with first.

Hmm doesn't really sound like an interesting challenge... I'd like something a bit more... useful. (for in-game use that is)

yea but its like a 5 minute per model for an ingame food model...
meaning that they are just eyecandy, or extras ingame. It's not something that the player will look at probably.

Flipping burgers at McDonalds some years ago, so I just had to make a cheeseburger. :)

It's the Mcdonalds cheeseburger, but I modified the top to make it more interesting.

time: 1h 40 min
polycount: 10435

Been using 3ds max for the last few days and thought I'd enter the comp.

Choccy block!

20 mins
91 polys and 152 verts.

Btw, Barra, the clay render link is dead.
