Speed Challenge #9 - Guns n Ammo!

Well, not just ammo, actually. This Speed Challenge is to model Guns. Good old guns, one of the most popular and common pieces of work for modellers. But if you fancy doing something different, instead you can do gun accessories - holsters, ammo belts, attachments such as torches, scopes or grenade launchers. Anything directly linked to guns. If you're doing accessories, you can include multiple ones in your final screenshots.

The time limit for this one is 2 hours. Remember, its just meshwork, no unwrapping or texturing is required. To suit people in all time zones and walks of life, the deadline for entries will be 8pm GMT, Monday 23rd June - that's two days from now. Click here for the closing time around the world

When posting your entry, remember to give us:
- A render
- A wireframe
- Tri count
- Time spent creating the model

We recommend that you post your final images using a clay render. Check out this excellent tutorialfrom game-artist.net to learn how to do it with maya and 3ds max.

The full rules for the Speed Challenges can be found here

Remember, the time limit is for you to challenge yourself - show us the best you can do in that time. You can take a tiny bit longer, but it's in your interest to play fair & level. The whole point of this is to improve your skillz0rz.

As always, if you've got a question, lemme know

I'm sorry, I'm new to these, so I don't know some things. We post our results here, right? Not anywhere else?

And what can we do if we use XSI Mod Tool, which doesn't have a proper renderer, to make out models and don't know how to render with any other program? Will a screenshot of the 3D view work?

My bad, should have made that clear. Yes, entries get posted in this thread. As for XSI, you'll have to do your best. Screenshot is fine, if you can get a render of sorts that's ideal, but so long as we can see it, it's all good!

Mr. H, that's awesome, I should have expected that from you :D

Final.

I went a little over 2 hours because I crashed XSI a couple times and it took me a bit to get back into the flow and set up reference planes and things. Unfortunately I modeled a few things you can't see in the screenshot (shoulder/arm rests etc.)
