I will make something today but first I have to eat something. OH and Mr. Happy, sweet piece of weaponry.

Triangles: 2092
Time Taken: 2 hours, 11 minutes

Juuuust barely went over the time limit... I skipped modeling the clip or inner workings to save on time.

Cybertronic CAW2000 (?), found while running around on the internet. Along with a load of other cool weapons. Took 58 minutes, is 1321 vertices, made in Blender and rendered with the internal renderer. Not sure how long the render took but it was a good while. Looks a little plain but I couldn't think of much to do and I wanted to keep the time low. And yeah I know the shading in messed up in a few places, I didn't clean up some of the faces in behind that had flipped normals so it got a little messed up.

Main render:

Full size.

With wireframe:

I kinda wanted to do this one more but there's no way I could fit all that into 2 hours or less.

And nice work on that USP, looks great.

:) Thanks. Yours looks nice too.

Where did you get the rotoscope of that gun you decided not to model? It looks awesome.

Big guns? I would like to rephrase that and say: FREAKING HUGE GUNS!!! Looks damn nice and I am pretty sure that you could have came up with a lot more detail but 2 hours is just too little!!!

I am happy to see that more than 2 people turned in something. There are a lot of cool entries until now...2 or 3 more would be damn nice but hey...its much better than the last Speed Challenge. hehehe Sorry, I am sure Jest@ felt sad about that one.

I also would like to take this moment to say that it would be nice if any of the battles (map or texture or model) would be announced or maybe even get a little section on the front page. This would make the battles a lot more attractive to everybody and for the people that are lets say "scared" to enter.

Fantastic stuff, high quality and varied. I wub you guys :[]:

You're all making me sad I don't have time to model any more :( I'm particularly miffed by RawMeat's entry, since it's almost identical to the model I started making for the Combine model battle (the trial run for model battles, some time ago) that I never finished. But better than mine.

Still got the rest of the day, if anyone's got the time. 11.5hrs to go!

I've got a video, lemme incode :)

EDIT: here's the video, at about 32 seconds In I open notepad and declare that I'm done modeling, then I proceed to peruse interlopers, the rest of the time is spend adjusting the render, I don't touch the model at all. The download is almost full quality, and the youtube video just sucks.

and you might want to frame by frame it if you're interested.

That 92FS looks awesome. I see modeling in XSI is completely different than Blender.

No, but the vid posted is a fast vid of his 2h+ modeling.

@stoopdapoop: Shit, you are my hero!!! I mean this is just amazing...even more so doing it in XSI and not in 3DsMax and in a such short amount of time. I am scared to even ask what you do in 5 or 9 hours. Hey, what crazy stuff do you do in 9 hours? ( Gordon..yes thats my name...shaking)
