Speed Challenge 13 - Gardening (POLL)

Postby RawMeat3000 on Tue Mar 24, 2009 12:12 am

Much to my surprise, this battle has had the largest turn out of any so far. Good job guys! Some really awesome entries in this one.

Now for the part you've all been waiting for

Note to self: proofread.

And I apologize for the poly count on mine, I got carried away.

Voted for Noodles btw.

awww It's a shame. I wanted to take another shot of my entry, seeing that many people probably took it for a charger-like tractor or something. It looks more like a lawnmower from the top. :P

(I also wanted to add some grass :P)

ah man, some good entries.

I'mma vote for noodles, you even got the pull starter in there :)

I was really torn about destroying the suggested poly count, but I thought this would be a good time to mess with using multiple meshes in Zbrush (within a timelimit). It was a good learning experience, and there's alot of thing's I'd do differently if I were to make it again. TILL NEXT (NEXT) TIME!

Wow! Thanks for the votes guys!

Voted for sourcemaps as I like the wheel-barrow and the shed, and the render is nice.

I also like vcool's lawnmower for it's TF2 style and also the face on the front, but the render could be better (and more importantly, lighter).

I found the video I record while making my model and it took 26 minuets.

Also I wasn't happy with the result and was going to delete my entry but I was out of town and the internet I had access to was rubbish but oh well I have 0 votes anyway so it is fine.

Thanks. :) This was my first render with Metal Ray ever and TBH I simply randomly changed sliders following common sense. Whatever I tried, though, I couldn't make it lighter. :S

well, you're half right.
