Lol, is 11 meg big for a map? Anyway, im not working on pipeworks so much anymore, moved on to other projects. Its pretty much done anyway. Just gota do a full compile...

yeah, 11megs is oretty large for a map. usually its displacements that increase file size a lot, but i guess you have a lot of brush work.

The only thing that isnt fully compiled is the vis, which i did on fast, its not going to look any better with a full vis, just hog my computer for 3 days trying to compile it!

If your not using it, use a batch file to compile w/ Hammer CLOSED.

Yep, thats what i did, i left it ALL night and day, and it only got to ...4 on the vis thing. I was like 'screw that' and did a fast vis and a normal rad and it finished in half an hour!

are all the pipes world brushes or something??!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!???!!!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!??!
for shits sake a whole fuckin day is way too long for 1 compile! make all the pipe sections into func_detail's. it doesnt affect anything about them in game.

1. I HAVE made all the pipes func_details. most of the iregular shaped brushes are func_details. I dont know why it takes so long, but it does. But can someone, ANYONE, atleast play it and say what they think? I dont want to talk about the problems im having compiling, thats no fun. I want to know if you enjoy what i spent ages making. *holds in snap of a lifetime*

Well it's quite some map tbh, though it feels (when I play it) that I'm missing something, and that isn't the lack of a 3D skybox.. I can't really tell you what it is that I miss, but I think it's an open space of some kind. The ones AWM lamers like :wink: I think this could be a good map. You might want to make more stairs to get up the pipes for the tactical advantage you have when up there. Well done considering the setting is a bit too much of the same ^^ (eentonig, some1 dutch translate :P) Oh and the bots didn't like it for they don't climb stairs (don't know if this is a general issue with bots or just with this map)

OMG! Thanks so much! Someone actualy playing my map and telling me what they thought? wow. What a day it is for me... Anyway, thanks! I understand bots are stupid, they walk into me all the time and dont even see me, but unfortunately i have only ever played this with bots, because my friends suck and say they hate my maps. (then one of them makes a crap box and they love it!) lol. Anyway, i understand its missing something, ambient sound perhaps? I could add snow, or something, but right now i am busy with other things, (school just started again) so i wont have as much time to do stuff. But once theres a nice list of things i could do to make this map better il do one last edit, compile, and release.
