Hi, this is my first map so it is very simple. The name is open to suggestions and tell me if i should add/change something. My map has 64 spawn points and 64 weapons for a big fragfest. The only buyzone on the map is on the big wall in the middle, so if you want to buy something, you are going to risk being blown to smithereens.

I KNOW THE LIGHTS COME FROM NOWHERE!!! I WILL ADD THE MODELS LATER!!!

Here are a some screenshots I took:

Wow with all the power of the new engine and yet people still persist to creat giant boxes.

What do you suggest? Also do you think there should be a setting? For example, making the map sort of a "Aztec" type map, or maybe a jungle type map, maybe even a frozen over map.

It is my first map. I decided not make a freakin' box with a light and a spawn.
Instead I chose to make a bunch of freakin' boxes with a bunch of lights and a bunch of spawns.

okey i'am pretty shore this is not the under development forum so wtf is this? first you need to change those textures.. give a LOT more variety to them, nad diferent extures for walls/floor/ceil. also from to pictures it looks like your ladders are invisible, you should fix that. i can also talk about the light but it seems like you already knwo about that, so fix that. and this is wath pisses me off.. pepole using the source engine for this type of maps.. use the old one for this.. it's easier
I've no sign

we still all know what he means dont complain.

u definately need variations in those texes. this would be an eyesore to play more than half a round. u could make the roof glass and add a skybox to make it look kinda cool then use some rain to have some pattering on the glass roof. add in some crates or cars or something to make it less open.
Dongs.

I know but if he ever wants to improve his English it would be wise to try and spell things correctly.

As others have said the textures need some variations. Your light appears to bright. Since it seems your new to map making which isn't bad, everyone starts at some point. So a key thing to know is attention to detail. In a virtual environment this attention to detail will bring out and trick the users mind into to believing he/she is immersed in this enviroment. So an idea would be to give this space some character. what was the building used for. Age of the building, daily abuses, left over items from previous tenant. By paying atttention to these items the space will become great on it's own. Graph paper and pencil are great ways to get ideas out, plus it takes less time. So when you hit Hammer your not wasting time and impulsively added this and that. Everything has a function. Hopefully this helps.
