OK, I turned the mp3 into a .wav at a cost of low sound quality because I could not find any freeware that did not install a shitload of adware or spyware to convert. It plays nice enough though. I was having problems with the mp3 too not working quiet right or looping. I really wanted to work with the ambient generic, but that was causing it's own problems of each ambient generic getting off track from the others. So I added to the sound scapes file. It works good, but not what I really wanted. I am starting a full compile tonight, so by tomorrow I should have to something ready to go for full testing. If that goes well, then I am done. I really need to get this out of way for my next project I am itching to start.

Here you go, try it out.

http://s42.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1OKZ ... PJGCEAG7BB

I included a nav file for the bots, but they seem to have a hard time with certain areas. There are areas that still cause some lag but this is as good as it gets. I have done all the optimizing I possible do. I just need to make sure everything is include in the zip and is working like it should. Sometimes there was a little wierd echo in while playing fur elise, but the last test it played much better. This is ready to go gold, so if every is ok you should be able to install it on your server. Let me know if you have any problems.

Well both sounds seem to be working properly.
Textures are all present.

The only thing i can complain about is the bad fps.

For me they are 2 low but maybe not for someone else.

You getting it all over or just in certain areas? Was is your speed and video card?
My PC was running well in most areas. When I appoched the club house I would drop frames. Don't play with bots locally on your PC either.

I got a p4 3ghz 1024ram gforce 6800ultra.

Well some area's are good but most are just bad when i'm alone in the map the fps is around 30/50 depending on the place i'm standing.

I'm only getting those big fps drops when i'm looking in the direction of the big house and it doesn't matter if there's a hill in front of me.

You got twice the PC the I do and I have about the same problem. I was worried about that. Displacement maps don't stop vis. I have the map crisscrossed with hint brushes but it makes little difference. If you go into wireframe mode, everthing is drawn. The map is too large and the building too detailed. I'm wondering if I should even release it at this point or just hang on to it. I think my ambition was greater than the source engine could handle.

You could try and fake out vis. Put solid blocks within the displacements... or maybe you've already tried that.

This looks to good for it not too work.

I was thinking about that and may try it. With the hint brush it may stop trying to draw the whole map. I am so sick of working on this map though. I am ready to move on and start my new project. When I out I may recompile that way since it take about 12 hours to run a full vis. To bad a fast vis won't use hints.
