here's a little preview;

i know you can't see much but as i said, i'm not allowed to show any more.

info: the government (CT) is hiding on a secret island. the mission is trying to sell the so called "The Green Glue" to some rich business men. while terrorists find out what they're doing and try to blow the "Green Glue" generators up.

I think it looks excellent, I was just playing HL2 and thinking of how something like the canals would fit CS:S.

ya just a little friendly advice, im not sure what contest you are entering but unless they have some odd rule about putting as much detail into a map and the fps doesnt matter, you really will want to do something about that. I dont care how good a map looks, if it isnt playable because of poor fps, a large majority of people will not want to play it.

I do have a bad computer/gfx card. i get low fps in most games. but i am having some problems with the fps, the worst i get in that map is 18fps and that does suck. but i'm still having problems learning shit about the hint brushes. i hope i can find a fix, so i can release a proper public version without any framedrops.

@Dj
yes you're right. I love to add much detail to maps. but i had to much already and i was forced to delete a few props/brushes!

Hey Sin :waves:

Ok, suggestion, give a beta to some1 else with a better comp. Then get some reports on FPS from him and make him screen parts with bad FPS

I would do a beta...I have a midrange comp...like most CS:Sers...I love beta testing, it is the funnest part.

2.0gh
x800
1gb ram

Also running a test match...with players...would give a good view on how the load will be with rendering players and keeping track of everyone as well.

Someone with a good computer tested it. and he didnt even had bad FPS, he didnt said anything about it. on the other hand, someone with almost the same computer asme tested it aswel. but he did say something about framedrops. thats the only thing he 'hates' about my map.
i'm gonna try to delete some water.. and some other stuff.

@ Serever
I compiled vis on FAST

try compiling with vis on normal. works wonders sometimes.

also, when youre in the game, go to the console and type +showbudget. a whole heap of shit will pop up, telling you what is causing lowered framerate. check the optimisation tut for better description.
