28 Greggs Later

I can't help it. L4D is incredible.

I need to do a whole campaign.

Overview :3

roughly 0.87 miles (1.40km) passing several iconic Glasgow locations and finishing in the wonderful Glasgow Central Station, where survivors will escape via Train.
Green highlights are safe houses, where the map will change.

What i'm working from

(watch in HD on youtube itself)

and featuring models by your very own Habboi!

The attention to detail is very good. And it looks it can be a very nice campaign.
You've got a very decent start here.

Well now...I didn't realise you went on Interlopers Mr Huntey. I've noticed L4D is bringing the creativity out of a lot of people lately. I wonder why D:

Great song choice, Krwling--by Linkin Park--Reanimation Album.

I only liked Hybrid Theory and Reanimation, and my favorite song is definitely Krwling.

Anyway it looks fairly interesting, and I cannot wait to see further development. Keep at it man.

Oh man if you can put that much detail into it at a fast rate, then I doubt you'd have any problems.

Well Hunter always finishes his maps so I am confident he will do it and I am helping him whenever I can with the odd model. It'll be a fun map ;D

I've noticed this is a fairly bright map though, seems odd for L4D

I thought this was gonna be about Old Greg or something, heh.

I'm happily surprised to see this though, coming along nicely. I can't wait to see all of those parts of the overview come to hammer.

Glasgow is a bright place - full of hope, inspiration and personel safety! To be fair you could have this campaign without the zombies, and a story about people wanting to escape Glasgow would still fit!

Looking forward to this one Hunter. Despite my jabs at Glasgow, will be good to see a European city. Not that American ones are rubbish, but I look forward to the change of architecture and some famillar looking detailings along the road sides. :-)

i agree about the brightness, but i'm just mapping it to a degree of realism at the moment to keep everything simple until the L4D official SDK is released. Expect a massive atmospheric change when i'm through with it (:

some famillar looking detailings along the road sides.

heh, oddly enough, one of the first models i asked Habboi to do was our style of pedestrian crossing buttons. Green and Red crossing men need to make an appearance in more maps ;D

this campaign without the zombies

Funny thing is, Craig Pearson, the Scottish writer from PCGamer actually suggested the name Left 4 Ned in an e-mail to me, but since we were discussing Clydebank at the time i figured i should come up with something more original. (Left 4 Chav for you Englishers)

Thanks a million for the feedback, everyone. It's inspiring.

edit:

For those of you who are as yet unaware, Greggs is a Scottish bakery franchise. They've expanded to most of the UK, but i don't think there are any across the water.
The title's kind of a double joke. Firstly, and most obviously a rip on 28 days later, but also because there's a bit of an in-joke with Glasgow visitors which is that there's basically a Greggs on every street. there's literally 13 on the route this campaign takes.

Jumbo sausage roll, 55p.

Brilliant idea, we (almost) have a Greggs on every street in Newcastle as well.

I'm looking forward to this. Just waiting on Valve before I start my own...
-Spongebob what are these visleaves doing here? You said you were gonna optimize 'em!
-But I am optimizing leaves.
-But they're still all over the map.
-Sandy I can't optimize any faster these are BIG visleaves... and they keep breaking into more leaves!
