Looks like the model didnt export corectly. There are no vertices because you probably didn't export with a texture applied. The SMD should list a bunch of vertices.

Can't see the pics because I'm at Sixth Form.

I remember Dig. I was really young when I played it. I remember it was on my Mac. You know, back when Macs were like PCs, and they weren't gay, and had awesome games, and weren't all "hip" and "sav".

I played it for like, 10 minutes and couldn't figure out what the fuck to do. So I quit and never looked back.

From the looks of this it looks OKAY. Obvious question, and I didn't read through the thread, but make sure you get permissions and etc. for the models you use. It's always better to make your own shit, or learn, but obviously if you simply can't, I guess it's better than nothing, or brush based everything.

Right now things are looking pretty bland, especially the moon or that space beach or whatever the heck it is in the last picture. I'm interested in your "sunrise". Because if you wanted a sunrise you're gonna need to have to change lighting, so I'm curious as to how you're going to alter the light_environment. Or maybe just spam a bunch of lights? KEKEKE.

@srredfire

I'm using as much "thank you in the credits" models i can, all textures are custom made by me. As for the meteor "space beach" the texture is not permanent. As for the sunrise i cant say many stuff im still on the development*cough*spam*cough*.

I sometimes hate the youtube quality.

The video doesnt feature the sunrise due to fraps problems..

The light at the end of the map is a bug(!?!)

If you intend to take this project all the way you should definitely think about recruiting a modeller/animator to replace that arm in the final product, I can't imagine it giving anyone any real hardship and it should look alot better than the brush based version.

You should really layer those components of the space in the 3d skybox using some card textures w/ scroll. Right now, it looks like the starts are moving at insane rates, it would probably make Einstein have a heart attack.

In other words, I mean use scrolling textures and brushes tied to trains to your benefit to emulate a 3d skybox which makes aspects of your skybox look tangible as individual objects, rather than all the objects moving all together at the same rate.

Also, are those supposed to be the stars that are moving in the sky, or is it supposed to be meteorites?

Firstly thank you for the input Yokai; you are standing on the rotating-moving to earth meteor that means everything on the sky rotates.

As for using scrolling textures and train bind brushes it was the first thing i did and it didn't work that nicely as i thought.

@ Gradius i looked but i couldn't find anyone willing to take the challenge...

Edit :
Just to give you an image for what i'm going for...
