the layout looks impressive, ideal for a sandbox style environment. i like the fact you've given buildings a specific purpose. the building designs and brushwork are cool too.

I had my last exam of the exam week today, so I started working on Suncity again :smile:

Really reminds me of north carolina coast.

I really love the cartoony bright theme to it, It's a real change from the depressing shit stained hl2 textures

Too bad those are the recommended settings for that skybox.

But it's not final, I'll change the skybox before I release the map.

Hey Yucca, just curious, if you are still indeed getting the 60fps in this map like you said in a far earlier post, what kind of rig do you own?

But anyway, the map is looking good! It's quite well laid out in my opinion.

I have:

-A shitty AMD Athlon 5000+ Dual Core (2,6 GHz if I remember correctly, going to upgrade soon, though)
-3 Gigs of ram
-Nvidia Geforce 9800 GTX+

And running on Windows Vista Home Premium.

Awesome, quite similar to my setup then, except I have a slower processor, AMD Athlon 3500+ though I do have it clocked to 2.6GHz at times, so eh.

What's the aim for this map in the end anyway? I see the "RP" at the start of the map name, and clearly this means role-play, at least to me it does, though I've personally never played a role-play map for a game like Half Life 2 before. Are you looking at getting it to run in an 'MMO' kinda fashion, wherein you would have a character save system running on a dedicated server?

Sorry for the lengthy, interrogative post! :P

Well, it's for Garry's Mod, mainly for roleplaying (Some guys you probably won't know are making a roleplay script especially for this map), but for other stuff like movie making or ragdoll posing too.
