About a dozen people (myself included) are getting 2 credits next semester for making a ghostbusters HL2 mod.

I've used the Worldcraft editor and HL1 to present an architecture design for my art class before.

It was much cheaper than getting other modeling and architecture programs, that's for sure, art is subjective, good luck with your project.

You could always setup some zombie spawns, throw in the grav gun and some saw blades. Then present some more engaging kinetic art.

One the more serious side I think it's great that you're using hammer for art class, I think soon the general public will start to see there is some degree of art in game design. Like valve's excelent work on the underside of the train bridge. I'm not really afraid of heights, yet that level deffinently made me uneasy. Just goes to show the power of a well made 3d environment.

The ride to the top of the citadel definetly gave me a little vertigo =P.

I thought I was the only one. Man, when that train went over me on the bridge and it started shaking, every muscle in my body clenched up. I'm only running at 800x600 with no AA or AF, yet that bridge is real enough to make my brain think I'm gonna fall off of it.

The "high place" maps in UT2k4 do that to me as well, but that bridge gives me the chills every time I play it.
Frank Sinatra saved my life one time. His goons were stomping me in the parking lot of the Sands, and he said, "That's enough, boys."
