Please upload it to something else then L4Dmaps.com, I can't download anything from that site, even from the mirrors. The downloads allways quit when around 2-3%.

http://www.gamefront.com/ (used to be filefront, reliable and you don't need to register)

If you don't want for your play-through to be spoiled in any way, obviously don't read this.

Played it last night. Visually, it's great, though the storms do get kind of annoying after a couple levels. The lighting is very good, except for the occasional nuclear reactor powered laundry room light. The item placement was puzzling at times, like having lasers(or ammo at times, I'm guessing) spawning in a closet before you even have a rifle(but I suppose you might have done that to encourage backtracking). It was kinda silly that the Subway's alarmed doors were wood, you'd think they'd use metal for a security door.

But you might want to look into fixing the finale. If someone stands on the plane, the zombies can't get you and the tanks don't spawn, or they die because they can't reach you. This would not be good for versus, if you intend you people to play it on versus, that is. I did like the effects for the jet engines, though.

agreed, i'm probably just going to implement catwalks in the hangar. As for the subay, I think i should just leave the windows alarms, activated only by shattering. Make that area a kind of quiet place if you will.

Haven't completed it yet, but thoroughly enjoying it. Unfortunately it keeps crashing the game on map changes (never had that before), but this is bypassable by simply starting a new game with the next map.

I've uploaded some screenshots of the few bugs/potential problems I've come across so far:

Mappers Top Tip #548
Lighting: The arrangement, hue and intensity of one or multiple light sources.
Lightning: A dazzling discharge of electric sparks in the atmosphere, often preceding thunder.

Update released: http://www.l4dmaps.com/details.php?file=9006

Code: Select all
04/10/2011-Update v3.6
==========
First Update in response to bugs as well as some final implementations.
Send all questions to highway.2.hell.l4d2@gmail.com

Nav Issues:
In this release, I attempted to address most of the major nav issues, some examples of which are:
-The airplane jesus spot
-Anything that resembles a car or raised up from the ground
-various legdes, ladders, and truncated pathways
-Updated several battlefield issues

Gameplay Issues:
-Made weapons and health more scarce, as a result the finale is made harder by eliminating the
weapon pickups in the hangar, but not the health packs (COOP only)
-tweaked some of the panic events, changed one entirely

Graphical Issues:
Still some known graphical issues which will have to be addressed in the mean time, but their impact to gameplay should be minimal.
-fixed the checkered pallet
-tweaked the hard rain effect to to versions: mild, and full. The full version has a 1 in 8 chance of occuring

Audio issues:
-decreased the volume of the jet engines, may do so again soon

misc:
added catwalks to the hangar, more spawn options for infected
fixed outtro to properly fade out

Still no intro/outtro, once the major bugs are worked out, i will implement the intro, outro, and dialogue

03/30/2011-Initial Release
=========
Initial Release for bug catching as well as final implementations.
Send all questions to highway.2.hell.l4d2@gmail.com

==Contains the following==
New models
New Sound effects
New Textures

VS is possible but not fully tested, report all issues to the email address listed below.

KNOWN ISSUES:
-Reflective water will make some area portals act oddly, this will be fixed soon
-No intro- was not a priority in all of this
-Cubemaps may cause strange reflections in some areas
--Finale is not yet fully completed--
This also means that some of the sound effects are not yet fully equalized, but the jet drowning out the tank sounds is fully intention, it's a jet after all.

-Some textures are still not 100% ready, this includes the self illumination maps on the plane
-a recent update wiped out my lights.rad file, as a result some transparent objects may have strange shadows.

To report any bugs my way, please send an email to highway.2.hell.l4d2@gmail.com

Thanks for those tips, I took care of the gameplay affecting ones first, but if this update goes well it will be resolved.

Good update. The end battle is much more epic now. Putting a few (like, just two or three) throwables or pain pills in some of the cramped rooms around the edge of the hangar would encourage players to move around a bit rather than just choose a corner to press their backs to. I found it fairly easy to climb that pile of suitcases and perch on the pipes picking enemies off either side of the pillar. Also, from this viewpoint I saw a horde spawn on the other side near the large metal containers.

In an earlier level Ellis alerted the horde (stupid Ellis) just before the bit with the alarmed doors in the fast food joint and I think the horde must have broken through one of the alarmed doors because when I got there it was already open and the alarm was already sounding.

Also, at the very end of that same level when I was crawling towards the safety room a horde spawned directly in front of me in plain sight. Other than that slight hiccup, that mad dash to the safety room is probably one of the best, most intense horde battles I've had in L4D.

It still crashes when I change levels. I don't know if anyone else has experienced this?

***EDIT*** Just found this one too: http://steamcommunity.com/id/Text_Fish/ ... 9206036111
