Yeah, was pretty cool last time.

Come on man!

Those are some nice vents, I like the vents, I can't wait to see it get out of dev textures.

Just a small update in between, without all the fancy ME:S borders on the screens etc.
Some stuff I have been working on (and am still working on) during the last month (mix of model viewer, ingame and preview render screens).

A stack of construction plates and a shelf

A desk

A file folder

A stack of magazines

A duct (I am very unhappy with the skin so forget about it)

Preview on work-in-progress scenery with some models, textures and skins (all WIP)

Long time since we all got together in Vivi's server to test this and I wanted to see how it was coming along. I am looking forward to the finished product and the gaming session to follow the release.

So, hows it coming along?

for some reason I thought sathor went ahead and posted his media update without telling me. Errrrr so yeah... things are coming a long. I mostly worked on the layout and expanded it too much to the point where it wasn't the original design anymore. I have since then gone back in and starting cutting things down to reflect the old layout. Once I have time I was going to finish putting it together for another test. I would really like to finish it for sure. Saths stuff is coming along quite nice and at a decent pace.

To be honest I don't really like it when people rip-off other games for mods but this one is an exception because of how awesome it is, especially the 1st person animations. :D

I'd love to see more updates for this but you guys got a lot of other shit going on so it's understandable. I simply cannot wait to see it finished.

Sathor's models are pretty damn awesome. This map will look bad ass for sure.

This isn't for a mod, its just a few maps for counter strike with props and textures to make it look like mirrors edge. :)

Vivi and me are aware we do not update this post on a regular basis. And while we both have quite busy private lives, we have not forgotten our project and are still working on it.
We are sure that we will be able to finish it, but of course such a project takes a lot of time to complete.
Anyway, simply to show that we are still alive I will show you some stuff I have been working on.

I have conquered the last hurdle of what I wanted to learn in terms of computer games modding, so I can do (at least simple) animations - evidence below!

A water tank

Another water tank. A ME:S pipe system (radius 3 units) can be connected at two sockets.

A security camera (animated, video link below)

For those interested enough, you can download a short video of the security camera here:

It is an AVI in a RAR archive (about 2 MB).

Man I am looking forward to playing this again. We had so much fun testing it in Vivi's server... It is good to see it is still getting worked on.

Yeah man, Currently I'm not working on the layout a whole lot. there are a lot of small tweaks being made over a large amount of time. BUT! I plan on finishing it towards the middle of this year maybe later.

Looks really nice, looking forward to seeing more.

Also, would be even cooler if the camera followed the player :D

Gary,

Vivi actually asked me to make the camera following the players, but I have decided against it for a few reasons.
First of all, in Mirror's Edge, the cameras move quite exactly the same way.
Second, those security cameras are not high standard, as can be seen quite easily. They will not be manually moved or anything.
Third, those cameras will be used in ME:S maps at about every door on the roof tops, so having each of them using the necessary entities etc will likely be more performance-intensive than the effect can justify on a multiplayer map.

Ah, that seems like good reasons not to. Even if they don't follow the player, it does look quite good.
