In the second and last shot, some walls look a little too bare. Other than that, this looks fantastic.

Just tested the newest version out:

1. Is it just me or does this arch still has fucked up shadows. (Second cap)

2. This sign looks kinda stupid and unrealistic. (Before third cap)

3. This RED Spawn looks very dull and empty. (Third cap)

4. This thing is clipping to the wall behind it. (RED'S base)]

5. A sign painted to a rock wall, wtf? (After the first cap)

That's all.

Also, you removed "The Sniper's Hideout" :(

Hey, thanks for the feedback. Im not sure how to remove the ugly shadows on the arch, I tried smoothing groups in hammer but didnt work(maybe I didnt do it right). I'd appreciate it if you or someone else could help me fix the ugly shadows on the arch.

I'll be releasing rc2 pretty soon with some changes around the last part of the map.

RC2 IS OUT PEOPLE! :D

Change Log from RC to RC2

RC to RC2 changes:

-Fixed some props clipping to the wall.
-Prop optimization throughout the map.
-Made the 2nd Red spawn deeper underground to give the blue team a chance to attack.
-Fixed some overlays problems.
-Fixed 99% of the clipping issues.
-Fixed a bunch of displacement issues.
-Clipped all the stairs in the map.
-Made some changes around the last part of the map.
-Closed off some corners around the last part of the map to give red more support to defend.
-Gave blue team more time after capping the 1st and 3rd point.
-Improved fps first part and last part of the map.
-Reduced the spawn time for red team to 8 secs after the 2nd cap.
-Fixed some ugly shadows around the map.
-Added Spec Cameras to the map.
-Optimized the map with hint and skip brushes in some areas.
-Added a dynamic sign for the red team at the 2nd spawn making it less confusing where to go.
-Fixed a few doors not opening fast enough.

Did you fix the issue where RED still spawn in what is supposed to be BLU's forward spawn?

I will release rc3 with some changes that will balance both teams because its impossible for blue to cap the last point at the moment.

Is that arch a func_detail? if so make it a solid, just guessing that's why it's got those odd shadows.

oh, so that's why I was getting all those ugly shadows and yes, its func_detailed so making it solid brush will fix it, right?

Looking good, the lighting on that road is a bit choppy though when it switches from the curve to the straight. Could be a texture problem, but maybe putting a smoothing group on it will fix it.
