I'm working on a new map right now, and I've got a room which I believe is ready to be shown. Tell me what you think, I've been working on the room for a couple days. Thanks, guys.

Edit: Alrighty, a couple new screenshots of the little rundown area of the map. They are a little dark, but I'm not sure how much or if I even want to brighten that room with any more lights. Think it'll look a bit better when I can constrain those lamps to the rope, as those are the perfect lamps, in my opinion (too bad they don't work as statics).

thats a very nice room :). IF you keep your maping up like that your going places :).

Is that ment to look a bit like the T's spawn on cs_compound? As its looking very simmler but with a cery nice HL2DM touch to it ;)

Looks good so far. But see about doing something different about, or atleast detailing the skylights some more.

Glad you're liking it. Yeah, alright, I can do something with the skylights. I wanted to break up the flat cieling with more depth, thus the high skylights, but, hrmm, I'll add something more to them. And I think next I'll work on the outside.

The level is going to be a DM level, despite the preference for CS levels here (at least that's how it seems).

And no, I didn't look at anything to create that, I just knew I wanted a 3 tiered open room.

And one more thing... how do I get the fps to show? I can't remember the command, and I don't want to spend time searching for it. Thanks.

Looking good so far. I like the shape of the skylights but they're lacking something... By the way, the fps command is cl_showfps 2

Not bad, use volumetric lights throught the skylights to add to the prettyness, also brighten it up a bit

All I can say is good luck to you. I'm just tired of seeing map after map after map that takes place at nightime in warehouses or abandoned apartments.

Haha, well, it's not nighttime, or necessarily abandoned. This is a little pass through area. The map, well, honestly, it's just a lot of really open areas. Here's a couple overviews, just to explain myself better.

This first shot is the current state of the map in Hammer, it's missing the offices and garage, and the other areas are not complete.

This is a little overview from PS, it's not nearly as detailed as my drawn diagrams, but they wouldn't make any sense due to many overlapping details that jumble the drawing.
