Yes, it will be Eastern European, probably locatated somewhere ex-USSR. I mean, without making a lot of new content for the game, models textures etc. that's more or less what you're limited to. At least, it's probably the best locale to map for, with HL2 content.

I've had a pretty cool idea for the start of the mappack, which I'm going to fully develop on paper then build with the SDK. Can't wait for it to be finished, if it works out the way I'm hoping, it should be awesome.

Alright, I've been working on the first map of a L4D2 campaign on/off for a while. A few dozens of hours spent in my L4D2 editer overall. I've reached a grinding halt though over the past few months because of major changes in my life and lack of motivation... Here's what I've done so far... just tell me what you think. Whether it's best to put it aside or press on (huge amount of work would be required) to finish the first level alone. Just a note: this is extremely rough geometry for the most part, should be considered alpha.

Would truthfully like to work on a shorter single player HL2 story instead :) Tell me what you think though, please.

My idea for the overall layout was that there would be four of those tower sectors making a square, with underground labs leading from one tower to the next. Players would go around the perimeter of the square till their progress was impeded near the end, where they would board a high-speed maglev train (with a circular circuit) that would bring them all the way around the complex again showing how different areas have changed/been damaged since the players had last been there. Players would get to the final sector which would be radically different from the others, arm a bomb, then head for the central sector which is a high-security entrance/exit where the finale would happen.
