Take pictures of the LEVEL, not the fugly player model? and please put some blend on the road/grass transition
Source is my way of life, if i didn't have it, i'd be tearing down walls and altering my house all the time.

I don´t think that is such a bad level. Sure, he may not have detailed it so much and there is only about 4 textures he uses and them some props. But you can still se that he have put some effort behind it.
Like the airplan flying over and then drops a bomb, I can´t find any reason for it but I think it was a cool effect. The green smoke from the car was pretty cool and did more purpose then the airplane. Especially with that dead guy there.
Then my favorite was the boat trip, I don´t know if there is anyone else that have done the same thing but that really catched me. Really nice gameplay part that fits the cs style ;)

So continue on the map or start a new one and get a bit more feeling over maplayout, then after some mounths, come back and remake it. I think that will be cool.

are you being sarcastic? i can't tell...the video quality is horrible i guess...there are dead cts and ts, battle ensued on the bridge over a truck of money, your spawned as a cleanup crew, the flare was in the dead guys hands to signal an airstrike which you can trigger

Several Things:

1) The green smoke is fine if you are trying to make it a call for an airstrike, which is typically done with the grenades that you seem to be implying in the video. However, Either pick a green mixed in with more white, or a dark green to make the color much more "realistic" in terms of how green smoke would look like.

2) No displacements on the ground make for a relatively uninteresting environment. The cliffs look ok, but their shape isn't really convincing me that they "aren't just brushes" (In other words, the cliff needs some more variation in it to make it more convincing. Variation on all axis)

3) The bridges could go with much more detail, right now they look very cs 1.6 ish in brush work, if even that. I would try to make some more interesting design choices with the bridges.

4) The boat to transport people would work theoretically with a few players on each team, but it shows you didn't think about this map for a larger player base, since fitting all those people on the boat would be impossible. It also looks like you can swim faster than the boat moves, so is there even a point? Regarldess, I think having deep water in any css map is a mistake seeing as valve hasn't really given any support for it (no animations, or change in movement / gameplay).

5) The long streets with little cover, particularly after the boat part, are just poor in terms of gameplay mechanics. You need more cover! Try making some natural evironment cover such as rocks and more diverse displacement on the walls that can double as cover.

6) The lighting could definitely use a major overhaul.

7) Next time you post a map, make sure your screenshots are clear and aren't cluttered with other unimportant things to the map. Specifically player models. Instead, you're better off going into spectator mode, turning off the hud display, and taking screenshots.

Did you ment me? Beacuse I don´t really know what sarcastic meens :?
Anyway I think YokaI said everything better than me (not that about the boat^^) and you maybe should listen more to him. He is more experienced.

looks like it could use more detail but looking nice! anyways where did you get your player model I've been looking for something like that but couldn't find one.
