I am still quite early into this map, however I made a topic here as I need feedback (the map will probably become ctf later as it is symmetrical, however for now it is dm). It is supposed to be a recreation of a map from another game, however I've added a few things such as this curved wall here. While I like the wall, I also hate it for some reason I cannot pinpoint. I don't know if its the textures, or if the area is to thick or what. So what I need at this point is input. The map is supposed to be of a Hydro Electric Power Plant, so I would imagine there would be concrete and metal everywhere. The reason I have used stone here is because I couldn't get the concrete texture to line up for the life of me.

Any ideas on how to improve this wall?

Alright, I did a lot of re-texturing and architecture work. I now have this:

I think I'm ready to start moving on and adding water. I haven't made a source map before, so how is water in multi-player? Is swimming actually fun or is it a chore?

Swimming works as long as players don't have to swim for too long. I do think you're posting too early though.

Yeah, I probably am. I just wanted to throw a couple of screenshots out there as the last map I made was 5 years ago. I'm going to take the lack of 'this looks like crap!' commentary to mean that I'm doing alright. I will wait longer to post a screenshot next time, however I will post it here if this thread is still around.
