Any idea on what's up with the skybox fog? My fog setting on both the env_fog_controller and the sky_camera is 1000 start 7000 end with a 0.5 max density.

You have to match your fog parameters with the ones that the sky is designed for. https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Sky_list

By the screenshots I´m guessing you´re using sky_day03_06 (not the same as sky_day03_06_hdr), if so these parameters work great for a map of mine in which im using the same sky:

Fogblend: Yes
Primary fog color: 205 197 190
Secondary fog color: 224 166 140
Primary fog direction: 1 0 0
Fogstart/end: 2800/6800
max density: 0.8

remember that the skycamera should have the same values.

It's a fine blockout but it needs more 45 degree and 30 degree angles. It's CS:GO, players expect lots of buildings to be angled.

Looking good, the palms are all lined up perfectly :-D Maybe bend them over a bit. Would be cool if this was an island beach front with the ocean surrounding it...
Weren't you working on another map? Or did you finish that one?

I'm trying to build a nice penthouse for csgo. I want to create a complete new environment, so I'm working with custom textures.

Hello Jean

You should try to build the sink out of displacements, that would look better because those wouldn't be so edgy!
The rest of the room looks good, but shadowdetails are missing!

Hell no. That would be so hard to do. Make a model. Some phong on that bad boy would be super sexy.

Well, with using Subdivide and then using a bit of the rise/lower tool, then deleting one half and mirroring the other one I've got this result:

EDIT: I don't have any decent textures for that usage, but it should be way easier to fit them all.

It was my attempt at making a fancy bathtub. I guess I'll have to make it in Blender.

Right now I'm faking some models with displacements. When I finish the layout I'll see what will need to be modeled. Btw, does anyone know a good water vmt I can use for a pool?

Yo yo yo!

I have improved the map since this footage but I wanted to share what I have recorded so far. Please keep in mind there is NO lighting in this map. What you see is just shitty youtube colour correction.

I have also made a Blade Runner inspired scene for fun. Might make it into a wee mod some day.

looking good, just add some minor shake to the car scene, it looks way too static

and that bladerunner scene is 10/10
