L4d2 Collab campaign idea

Hey, there's been this idea floating around in my head for awhile for a l4d2 campaign. So far, all official campaigns have been set in America, I'm hoping to change that, by making one in Italy, Venice, to be specific. This is just an idea in my tiny skull, but I was wondering if anyone out their thinks this would be interesting and would like to help.

This isnt me saying "hai, im making a mod, i needs people to map for me lozllzlz" this is an invitation to collaborate alongside me, which is extremely fun when making campaigns, seeing the maps all come together, testing them with each other, the testing in itself is the main thing which draws me to l4d2 modding.

I chose Venice because I love the water in l4d2, and I think that it would work beautifully in the night-time, also, different buildings architecture looks very nice as well.

While it will be based on a real place, it wont be a recreation, in fact, I (we) will, or can, be very flexible with the mapping.

Again, just an idea i think would be extremely fun to work alongside another talented individual.

(please forgive me, its late and I really just wanted to throw this idea out there even though if I saw some looney asking for my help without media, I would flame his sorry ass.)

I wouldn't mind helping but I really need to finish my campaign. I've just come too far to leave it. If you don't mind it later on I could probably whip up some tex's or models and/or prefabs to help.

edit:also the water doesn't seem to behave the same way in l4d/2, it seems that it renders the skybox, but not the world. I may be wrong but that's what I noticed on my little creek area.

My advice to you, Joe finish that campaign. Mayhem and I worked so long on that one campaign and it never saw the light of day, which is the worst feeling.

I kept mapping up this idea, losing interest and quitting. I think a collab could really get it running.

EDIT: I'm going to try using google sketchup, see how that goes.

EDIT2: Getting a modeler on board would be amazing as well. I'm going to start drawing layouts tonight, which is something I rarely do. Mr.Chop, can I see some examples of your work? Not gonna be all like "U FAIL U CANT HAS LEET TEEM" just wondering where you're at as far as mapping.

I'm on board, I'm getting bored just sitting around collecting dust. I could start drawing some things up for brushwork and layout soon. Any design doc. need to be written? I could also start there.

I like the idea of this, I'd just like to see it all (or partially) planned out before we go and blow time :P
