KROMERS TOWER

Hey guys, here is an early version of a thing im working on, Ive already dealt with most of the problems visible in the video.
Im not really making it to "look" amazing, more for gameplay, flow and a challenge.
Im making a tower and each floor is a different challenge.

I couldn't imagine playing that on Hard without being given more than just a pistol at the beginning.

Also, the RPG and rockets were placed WAY too conveniently to feel natural. You should incorporate some traversing to get to the RPG, then more of that to get the extra rockets to finish the strider off. I don't really know what problems you've already taken care of, and I understand it's meant to be a tower challenge like in Zeno Clash, but it definitely needs some ironing out.

Yeah i guess once you get the RPG it does get abit easier.
You still have to wait for the strider to stop shooting to move cover to cover.

and your map will be the best thing ever created.

I am being serious here though: notice how little ammo the contenders have? It forces them to stick and move. You should reduce the "ground war" aspect and add more enemies who stay on the balcony where the strider is. Can you limit the starting RPG ammo to 1? Add in some grenades too, instead of more Rockets.
So I showed her. Gave it right to her like I owed her. That's when I turned from Shrek the Ogre into Master Yoda.

@ReservoirWOLF I suggest you keep the barriers a warehouse type scenario, maybe you should add some windows and change the texture to corrugated instead of brick, and for the interior you should add some artifical terrain for effect, like maybe some cliffs into fire you have to hop across, but make it seem like your locked in, you also might want to consider making the player feel like he needs to reach something, like it matters to get to the end. Looks good so far tho.

Some windows would be cool though, especially as you moved up, it would be great to see some dizzying heights.

What are the other levels going to look like?

wow, thanks for the feedback.
"gladiator" type theme is kinda what im going for.
I have made some of the npcs sit back with the strider, and i think i will extend the corridor so that there is more room to advance, im also going to mess around with the cover.
Like i said before though i want this to be challenging.

Right now the 2nd floor is a maze filled with zombies and head crabs..... i was excited about it, but after playing it im not so sure.
If anyone would like to play test the maze ill send it over, theres a few custom textures in it but i can fire those over too.

yeah the maze is still under construction, i havnt really detailed anything yet either.
