You like vents as far as I can tell from the video footage and the shaking was pretty good. However the lighting could use work and the ladder tunnel looked shabby. Other then that it could use more detail all around. Good work so far.

Spooky.

  • I'd try to find some variation on those red-lights that is turned ninety degrees and embedded "flat" into the wall.
  • Maybe it's my gamma settings, but I only see orange... and solid black.
  • The ceiling lights need to swing.
  • They don't make push-bar doors that way... At least, the push-bar should be on the side people will use when rushing for the exit.
  • A few sparks could liven up the place.

neat-o...but there is nothing going on in the video.

a screen shot would have done well. you should just keep making map until you feel really really satisfied

the hallway needs to have more detail.

Would have been scarier if I hadn't lol'd at your YouTube name the whole time.

I hope there is an other entrance than just the ladder shaft. It would otherwise be rather illogical. How the hell did they get tables and the office filecases down there?
Think about stuff like that when designing a level. Think about a purpose, a layout and architectural details when mapping. Makes your level more realistic in an certain way.

I have to be utterly, and totally honest here.

It was boring.

No sense of scale is the big problem. Look at stuff like Raindrop in thier recent video; a huge sense of depth is created by the enormous scale of that stairwell. Ivan's Secrets' bunker showcase had a similar theme; the player drops down very, very deeply into the bowels of the earth.

Yours was a series of rooms with doors. Epic soundscape, but beyond that, nothing to hold my attention. It was dull and therefore bad. Sorry chap.

HOWEVER, THERE IS A WAY OF IMPROVING.

I can tell you used absolutely no reference whatsoever. Do so. Rebuild it using real-life pictures and watch your mapping improve drastically.
