im busy with a map, my first map.... i know it isnt that good but im trying :P

its maybe at 50 - 75 %

I was about to go crazy when I saw fy but then after looking at the pics it looks like a regular CSS map. If you want stop yourself from any pain in the future I highl highly recommend you make the map a regular de or cs map. It will save you a lot of trouble and it will be much better.

Overall though it looks good. You've used way too many of those red metal crates and they look odd being strewn in random positions. It should be more organized.

You need to find a host. About the white window and silver nail polish etc. You need to include cubemaps in your map.

i uuuhm i have... like 2 meters away from that window.. now i did buildcubemaps.. worked but it worked out a little strange:

Type in "buildcubemaps" into the console when your playing the map. This will fix it and save the change permanetly into the BSP file.

Now that is the boat I was expecting in de_port. Looks good so far, don't give up. As for glass try another texture and see what happens. I agree with the idiot, expand into a full de or cs map, I think you'd be happier in the long run.

k... i ran the map did buildcubemap again (dunnno why :P)
started the map up again... looked at the windows....



and it didnt work...



why is this happening to me..:(



is there any way i can disabble the reflect on windows ??
cus it isnt necessary ( mmmh didnt wrote that good i think :P)

i tried that (with help on the tut. didnt work/ i did something wrong prob.

Did you put in an light_enviroment? Make sure it points down by setting to -90 in the pitch field. Shadow control only works with models not bsp brushes.

Are you using one sided glass or two sided glass? Two sided will increase the reflections. And no you can't stop the reflection unless you make you own or rewrite the .vmt file.
