hey there , I am new here and would like to get some feedback on indoor areas and looking for a few outdoor area tips.

as you can see here I managed to make a bunker/sewer like indoor way with a few details:

My problems are , that I have bad experience in outdoor mapping / creating hills etc like this:

anyone got good tutorials in making this kind of hills and making holes for a tunnel into displacments ?

There are plenty of good displacement tutorials in the Architecture Tutorials section. I personally haven't done any outdoor scenes because I don't have the patience for displacement sculpting and such. It's supposed to be easier with the L4D2 SDK, though.

Your shots look good. I can't tell much from the first one. The second one needs some detail on the walls, like pipes or electrical panels or something. The lighting is good in the third one and makes the room very ominous. Although I would put some kind of creepy decal on the wall being lit. Making the light slightly flicker would be cool, too. (Not fluorescent flicker, but maybe one of the Candle settings, which would create the effect of a slight power surge.)

sadly I cant add flickers in this room, its bugging my shadows which look extreme ugly :(
I added few more gaspipes/electronic wires
going to post more screenshots in the future so you can say what I can do better.
