I'm spending this summer making a de_ map which I wanna fill with custom textures and models, unfortunately right now I can only show you the layout and few "orange screenshots", but I'm actually working with the textures, and got some already done. I'll try to keep you updated :D

P.S If you understand spanish I got a WIP progress thread with more screenshots and in depth explanation about the gameplay mechanics of the map (http://www.gameartspain.es/foro/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=500). If you don't you can always see the screens :P

That looks really great. I'm expecting the gameplay to be quite awesome!

I'm having trouble finding something to critique about gameplay.. It's really well done, I wish you luck on finishing it.

Looks good so far. Only suggestion at this point is to make sure that it's visually diverse, because if the whole map ends up rust-colored it will be easy to get lost.

As you may presume, I didn't finnish it during summer, but I'm still working on it when I have spare time. I still haven't any scene worth showing, but yesterday I did a nice ground texture which I'm proud of, it's a tiled rock ground with ssbump + very subtile and plain specular map.

My PC died a week ago. Looks like there was a problem with the electricity tension and burnt de PC's power supply. HD looks fine, but now I cannot even run CSS/SDK, so I'll have to buy some components.

Meanwhile, here it is a taste of the exterior overall, didn't have anything better stored.

Looks pretty good, I especially like the style of the brushwork on the buildings.

The sand in the center (the part on top of the brushwork) would probably look a lot better if you could blend it with the tile texture below it, so that it fades out over a short distance instead of ending at a hard edge where the displacement goes into the brush.

The building at center-left looks a bit odd, because you would expect the concrete striping to be spaced evenly, or at least mostly symmetrically.

Making some textures.. there is still a lot of work to do, so take a seat (i.e models, more textures, some additional brushwork, lighting etc).

Those screenshots excite me. There's some really nice blending going on there and I love maps that let me run around on rooftops.

/!\ NOTE: As you may have noticed I switched to CSGO! don't try to run it with CSS, you'll be unable. I may release a CSS version later though.

EDIT: Steam Group for testing purposes: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/rustest. I'll announce there when the map is being tested in a server and when the Beta 2 is released. I hope that will make testing a lot easier, so join!
