Hi guys!

I've been blocking out a new TF2 CTF level and I've come to the stage that I'm done with the basic layout and need some feedback on it. Thought you guys could help me out with that!

My two main concerns with the design right now is that the sniper might have more clear sights than they should. I can't say that for sure though until I had a proper playtest, but it's in the back of my head :) Lets see what happens. The second concern is that to get to the intel, the enemy team must run past a respawn point, aka high traffic. Is that okay, or would you like to have a small escape route that goes past the respawn rooms? Kinda like they have in 2fort, when you reach the top of the tube after you grab the intel, you can turn right to drop down into the main entrence.

Here's the layout of the map. Blue lines are where you'd want to go to be on the offensive while the red ones show where to go to reach the intel.

Might be hard for you to give feedback on layout stuff without actually playing it, but I'm happy for every comment I can get :) Also, the name is a place holder, the idea is to make a corn plantation under the bridge.

I agree with you guys! At the time of posting this thread I had no name for the level and the idea was to have corn rows going down the middle. Well, that didn't happen so now I'm just a no-good liar. :(

How about a corn filled skybox? I agree that the map looks very sniper friendly. At the very least, you should think about breaking up the large grassy area on either side of the map.

Hey guys, me again.

Got some new screens. Been adding more and more detail on the map, making dull walls look more alive, adding props etc. Threw some lights in there, especially for THORFINN, to see how it looks like. Remember, very, very early lighting :)
