The Pyramid [In Progress...]

Currently working on this map... I'm using HL2: Episode One engine for this one, so I recommend opening the map from HL2:EP1.

I hope I'll get a feedback soon!

Edit: I've uploaded the .vmf file so you can open it in Hammer right away. Screenshots wouldn't do much good for this map

Ok, feedback time.
1) Put nodraw on non visible surfaces
2) Add displacements because everything was flat and don't use brushes for cliffs
3) NEVER USE THE CARVE TOOL

Other than that you have a good concept going on and I recommend that you read tutorials on this site and other sites. I'm assuming that this is your first map and all I can say is that you'll get better over time with a lot of practice.

Hey man, tyvm for your feedback. But what's wrong with using the carve tool other than sometimes it goes haywire and screw up all your map?

I'm embarrassed to say but I've never used the displacement tool and always thought ppl use vertex tool to make bumpy terrains and cliffs!

Don't worry, back when I started mapping with call of duty I used the same method you did
