He said that Grox.

I'm loving the plume, honestly I would love to have the helmet already :D

No luck on the jiggle bones I take it :\

I can release it if you like. What hats would you like it to replace?

And it's a bit weird how it was fixed. Somebody got it working on their computer and sent me the .qc file they used. I compiled it using the same .qc but it didn't work how it did on his pc. So basically he compiled it for me and I did everything else.

When I compile it however, GUIstudioMDL doesn't create the physique file for some reason, but my friends compile did. I'm guessing this is the reason it didn't work on my PC. Any ideas why this is?

I've submit it to Valve now. Hope they like it too :)

Thanks for the replies :)

The plume is looking pretty good actually.

At this point I'd try to give the trim some detail. The trim on the ear flaps would really come to life if the edge against the metal was darkened, like the reference images.

You could also play around with adding some sort of pattern to the large trim around the helmet. Perhaps something like the dot pattern in the first reference?

It's hard to tell without seeing it live but I feel like the gold could be a little more rich in color considering TF2's exaggerated palette.

You're definitely making an awesome hat though, I hope to have it one day. Keep it up!

Thanks :)

Hmm, I'll have to spend a bit more time on the trim, it's pretty tough though painting in somebody else's art style! Plus I can't find my tablet so all this so far has been with a mouse! Not been fun! :D

Didn't think about the dot pattern, was too busy focusing on the main trim on that helmet, which is a bit too intricate for TF2 I feel. Might give that a try :)

I'll make some videos and some more screenshots for you soon. If I do make any significant changes I'll just have to resubmit it. :)
