Looks pretty cool. Cold and Dreary, horrible place to run into zombies :)

Alright, it's finally (just about) done! I've been working a ton and haven't been doing a lot of mapping, but managed to get back at it enough lately to finally finish and release Down On The Farm! It's a L4D2 scavenge/survival map, and is now available for download here!

I'll be fixing any bugs reported, adding soundscapes and doing a few other final touches before the final release, but that should be coming quite soon... Famous last words, of course!

Hope everybody enjoys it! Cheers! :D

Good job, Really dig the snowy atmosphere! How did you achieve the snow on wooden fences? Models or displacement?

Thanks, man! The snow on the fences is both... I have no real modelling skills, so I built them in Hammer from brushes and displacements, then made a series of modular models with Propper! Worked out really quite well, though I can't speak to how well they're really optimized or anything... Cheers!

This is really great. No navigation issues as far as I can tell. The building structure and overall detail looks great too.
Only 2 minor problems.

Bad cubemap here:

This plastic janitor's bucket is a static prop and looks out of place.

You should add some sort of "history" to the map, like the previous inhabitant's slaughtered corpses, or a trail of blood leading out into the hills. Something to show that something interesting happened before the survivor's got there.

Its always nice to see people pay attention to details. The snow on the top of the fences stood out immediately! Little things like that really helps with realism. Obviously the rest of the map looks great! I just wanted to comment on that one detail since it is something a lot of people would either not do, or not notice.

Yeah, my last map (Escape From Parkdale) was winter also, but didn't have any of those little details, which always bothered me. This time around I wanted to do it all. Took a bunch longer, but it was totally worth the extra effort!
