ok i was a little bit rude to him, BUT i dont get it that people say this map is good. maybe it's good for his first map or something but come on be honest... ok maybe it has very good gameplay (which i doubt) but this isnt a map you should release. so you can finish it, of course, and then you have learned some basics to make a new map :)

oh yeah, by the way, dont use those lights standing on yellow things so much ...they look like its a building site or something...

It's not too bad but it can be greatly improved!

When I started mapping well lets just say my first map was blocky :P

I wondered how people made cool maps with arches and stuff so I started reading tutorials @ http://www.twhl.co.za and learnt a lot.

Also testing these things out e.g. I didn't know how to make water when I first started so I made a test map and it took me a few hours to get it perfect.
Same goes for you!
You must keep practicing.

Use the clip tool and arch tool. You will find them on your own like a lot of us. If you really enjoy mapping and want to continue and you have that feeling inside that wants you to make your own little world where peple play on it then carry on practicing and don't release your first map unless it's as good as the top maps you see online. Trust us as we have all made mistakes and one of them was submitting our first crappy map.

Now that I look back at it I laugh and thought what a load of crap I was :P
So listen to us and start again or carry on if you think it will help you.

I agree, if this is your first map dont release it. I've been mapping for 5+ years and have only released about 4 maps.

You really need to understand how the engin works, then how the game play works, then learn how to get your work to run well, etc etc etc

I think the main problems with your map is scale (buildings too small, walls to thin/thick), props and details need lots of work, (strange/random props, flat boring walls) and visual transitions (grass leads to indoor flooring, walls run right into the ground, lots of stuff that just doesn't fit)

Look at source pictures, off google or from real life. Take it all in.

P.S. Yoshi, I was upset with your statment becuase what you said didn't help anyone. Why would grim post his map here if he didn't know it needed work? It was just a smart ass little poke.
