So the unofficial Portal 2 SDK has been out for little while now, and was wondering if anyone else had been trying it out and making anything interesting yet.

i would love to try this. i pulled some models from portal 2 into episode 2 and they do not show up... :( ...their collision models show up but the models act like they are invisible...lol

I made a quick test map about 6 days ago with this.


Haven't messed with it much since the video, but I did change it so you use the gel to launch you into the air to grab the cube on a higher elevated area, and I made things a little more organized looking.

I can't seem to get my Gel working for some odd reason, every time I press it, Portal decides it high time it crashes :(

Easy fix for that, in the map properties, turn off Smart Edit and add these 2 keyvalues:

Name: paintinmap Value: 1

Name: maxblobcount Value: 250

The max blobcount can be adjusted if you like, but I think 250 works.

Question: Anyone got working Ariel Faith Plates? I want to make them but I have no idea how to.

I've now managed to get some panels, gels, faith-plates, buttons etc. working on my test map, should probably make something of some actual work soon...

I couldn't get my trigger_hurt to work with water when I tried it, I'm guessing that the player comes under a different class in the Flags other than Marines, anyone try this?

I believe so, I used the trigger flag Everything (Except debris) temporarily until someone can get around this.

Has anyone got emancipation grids working? I'm not sure how to make them.

Edit: Oops... just realized I double posted, sorry. I got it working, just decompiled a map and copy-pasted it. It seems to have two flags that are missing, so they must not be in the FGD.

Pretty awesome. As much as I've been itching to map for P2, I think I'm gonna wait for the official SDK. It might have more goodies in store.
