Wats up everyone?
>I've been away taking classes at Kent State University in the USA.
My major is computer design, animation, and video game design, and it's going pretty well so far.
>I'm currently working on a low poly "Mech" for an inverse kinematics animation project in Animation 2 class.
The mech does two things: It jogs 4 steps, and it shoots rockets out of the shoulder cannons.
I'm having a problem with one of the leg animations though, and I'm wondering if you could help me.
I'm using 3D Studio Max 2011 and 2012, which I love!
>Okay, here's the issue:
With autokey on, I clicked set key to set the initial keyframe
for the leg. Then I moved the slider to frame 5, I moved the foot to the desired
spot, and I clicked set key again. Instead of the leg starting at rest at frame
0 and moving backward to frame 5, the position of the leg
starts at the position that it is set at frame 5.
Again, if I have the leg start at rest, then move it backward at frame 5,
the leg does not start at rest and then move backward as it gets to frame 5.
Instead, it starts the way it looks at frame 5.
I don't seem to have this problem with the right leg, only the left one.
Let me know if you want the max file and I will email it to you so you can troubleshoot it.
Best of luck with your projects and thank you!
