I have planned a playtest of the current alpha version of the map today, on 2nd of August. Because everyone lives in a different timezone, I thought a good beginning time would be 3rd of August, 00:05 CEST. You can check the time in your time zone via this link:

http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/f ... 0005&p1=37

Generally said: For Americans it is about 6 pm on 2nd of August.

A problem is a server. Schoft is not available to host a server today, if I can't get in touch with him. I had hoped someone else could host the playtest, otherwise there won't be one tonight

If you are interested in joining, it would be best if you come into the interlopers steam group chat at the given time.
Map is already compiled, but I am trying to get a bit done - if I fail at that, we can still rely on an already compiled version, so it will be punctual this time :smt041
(If it takes place at all).

There will be a server available at the given time.
You can already download the map here:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/664 ... nt_a21.rar

You are free to roam the map and play with bots.
The BSP includes all materials and models, likewise is a radar overview included.

I was recording the playtest so that may be of use if you're interested. In my experience it's always useful to watch your map being played from someone else's perspective.

It was my first time playtesting de_investment. I enjoyed it but I have mixed feelings about the map flow. Some areas were a lot noisy ( middle ) There's so much architecture/props/details/windows to break everywhere it's sometime hard to navigate. I found myself pushing left mid (as a ct) and drop down in middle, go up stairs and rape terrorists quite a few time. I could also turn left (upon dropping) and get in the yellow cubicle area before the terrorists.

One of the bombsites (A I think) could use some lighter blacks cause it's hard to see counter-terrorists.(seemed like pitch black to me)

Maybe tone down HDR or bloom? few light bulbs looked like a supernova!

It felt like terrorist buyzone was ending too quickly, I tend to buy last second shit(flashbang, decoy) as I start running away from spawn but could not in de_investment, too lazy to backtrack so I kept going without all my equipment! :(

Not sure if it applies to your map, but maybe add clipping to the stairs? It's not that of a big deal cause stairs are kinda big.

Keep up the good work!

You can now download the current version (a 2.2) of the de_investment on the Workshop! The publishing worked today. I again tried several times in a row and then magically it worked.

Hopefully you guys subscribe to it, like it, and rate it up - and everything else you can do on the Workshop!

Yo Sathor, I posted a thread on behalf of you on Mapcore, as I do not believe you are an active member there, and this map definitely needs to get the exposure it deserves.

Doesn't come with nav files. ;_;

Uh, another guy seemed to have the same problem. Strange. I don't really know why, the NAV file was def. in the same folder as the map as I published it. I'll try to figure it out.

EDIT: Should work now.

I updated the map a few minutes ago.
Changes this update:
- added final stair models with according handrails
- added a few other various props

Known bugs:
- spec maps on world textures don't seem to work, fix already in progress
