Thanks for the tips. Alot is going to change with the map texture wise as I finish it up. Like I stated earlier, doing lighting as always been one of my weaker things to do when it comes to mapping. I've never been really good and just nailing down the lighting.

Not much of an update, but I decided to go back to using dev textures until I finished the map completely, plus removed all the lighting ents until I can better decide on the light I want. The only really new addition is the building to the left. Im thinking It will be a power generation building or something like that....

Wise lad. Get your block detailing down to a T first - it also makes life easier post-playtesting to tweak!

I tend to like a sort of abstract means of making levels which combines certain plain textures with separate ones that use seams. Chops up the brushwork a bit but it is a different kind of alternative if you are not into the dev texture stuff as much as some.

The stuff I am seeing though is looking better all the time though, so keep it up man.
