rad, cubemaps

Postby Dice on Tue Dec 07, 2004 11:03 pm

I'm using normal rad, I have one cubemap pointing at the surface of the water. I currently have the cubemap properties set like this. Brushface Pointing at the top of the water texture. Cubemap size:Default
VisGroup: Entities. The water_lod_control STart transition cheap water 1000 end cheap transition water 2000. Honestly, if someone can send me a link to a good cubemap tutorial i'm for a break on editing.

Try not pointing it at a face,
(the water) and instead leave it default and run Bulidcubemaps in game

I took all of your advice guys and had no luck still. bad news: Refrabracating map, good news: refrab doesn't have the same issues. Luckly i can just copy and past my buildings onto the skybox model that i saved. Only neg about it so far its going to be about 5megs just for a scout map. This is a pain in the ass

Postby Dice on Thu Dec 09, 2004 11:33 pm

...i riped apart my map piece by piece to see if i could resolve the issue, or at least narrow the problem down. I found it...2 hours later. It was do to mal use of the skybox for my map. Everything is working properly.
