Its a remake of the "stack" from goldeneye. Its about 60% done. I have to add lights and objects ans pretty it up, but you get the idea. What do you think so far?

i didnt like the goldeneye original at all, but it looks like you got the architecture the same.

At the moment it looks like you are tryin to copy it exactly, itd be better if you spiced it up a little, add door frames, props, window frames etc.

Seriously, its my first map, back off. The reason people copy goldeneye maps is because its a game that got many people, including myself, into multiplayer fps. The stack was my favorite level, and it just so happens that it has a fairly simple geometry. I though it would be a good place to start. Like I said, its only about 60% done, i still have to add all the lighting and props ect. Thats why this board is called "under construction". Man, some people are just plain rude.

well, i read "stack" and thought.. "wtf? I don't remember a level called stack". I then looked at the screenshots and it all came back :D So instantly its a good thing cos I can recognise it :)

for a first map its pretty good mate, and the texturing looks like its meant too.

I remember my first map. and it was utter crap :P

Lookin good.. Keep it up dude, we all have to start somewhere :D
And take no notice of the goldeneye haters. They were all to busy playing some crappy games on their sega dreamcast to appreciate a real game :D

Oh man, those screenshots brought back some seriously fond memories. It certainly looks like the original bout I agree with Greenfish when he says add some more detail to it.

Playing this would be much fun but if you can spice it up a bit that would be even cooler.

It looks nice!
I would give the light of the light_environment which shines through the ceiling a little more yellow. That will make it warmer. It looks too cold right now.
Stack was my favourite too. I think its one of the best maps ever.
But iam not sure if this is same in HL2dm.
First reason is that you can jump from the floor to the ground floor.
Second is that HL2dm is much slower then Goldeneye. That is so fucked up! deathmatch games have to be fast! I hope they'll fix it with an update.

Thanks for the input guys, I was thinking of putting rails around the catwalks to hinder the ability to jump down, what do you think? Also, I intent to add detail props, such as pipes, vents ect. to it, I'm not gonna release some half-assed map. It will all be good when I'm done :)

If you want to make your map really really fun fill the level up with crates. That's what all the old skool elites do.
