Hey guys, I figured I'd post my progress here because I am really loving the editor and would love some feedback. This is only a few hours of work and remains *FAR* from complete. Moreover, I have not begun to texture much of the map yet. So, let's hear it: the good, the bad, and the ugly!

Ok, here goes:

- It's far too dark to be able to make out any real details. Also, place light sources to show where the lights are coming from (such as prop_statics light fixtures).

- The broken glass texture needs resizing for the small fragments to look less pixelated (good to see you got surfbreakable working!). Make the scale of the glass face 0.25 by 0.25.

- The stairs... search for stairs in the tutorial section.

- The pipes on the roof = there's a prop_static to replace this which looks a little better. Look in the folder models/prop_buildingroof or something like that.

Looking ok for a beginner's map - if it's going to be multiplayer you're gonna want it to look as nice as possible. Think about how you'd like a map to look if you played CS on it. :)

its way too dark

some of the non dev textures are horrible

the stairs arent the best in the world

its a tad small

you might wanna think about improving it a bit before spartan gets here

It's a good map to learn from but as the others said, needs a lot of work in the texture & light department to get things up to scratch. Good effort so far though.

I definitely agree with the lighting issues, keep in mind though, that I have made absolutely no real effort to light it yet. Moreover, I have made no effort to texture it either.

The size is only currently small, final product will be much, much larger and will also include several more elements; I already have it all figured out.

-I'm curious, what's the trouble with my stairs?

-Thanks for the building prop idea.

Cheers.

- Stairs (need to look more like these )

- I would advise making an effort with both textures and lighting in future before posting screens. Cause to be honest if you don't make much of an effort, then there's not much we can do to help! :)

What i mean is, make all the effort you can untill you get stuck with something, or you feel you have something you want to show off, then come back with some more screens.

I looked around in props and could not locate a prop for those chimney fixtures. Where exactly are they?
