2_forts hl2dm

heres my first hl2dm map it has two bggies with camraes mounted on them so other ppl can see when ur driving :D and there are two forts +two bunkers in front of the fort wall not included in the screenies, please come with comments and ideas

its intended on be a team dm map but valve did not include diffrent spawns for the teams , any1 knowo how to sort this problem out?

Good now that you made your first map, trash it and start all over again. Why did you make it all straight? Try making some bends and curves and hills at least. Think about your textures too, the room with the buggies looks weak. If you want an open area like that at least try some sand dunes. Think about the game play, driving back and forth will get a little old after a while.

hmm it doesnt look 2fortish (and cr4igs gonna be pissed, dunno why, he just hates tfc) i have a theory for the spawns though, add me on msn at fatty_bobby@hotmail.com, i havent tested it but it should work

Neat headlights, I'm guessing you parented the regular spotlight set to the front of the buggy and it just stays on there?

I like what you did with the cliff wall, but otherwise, i would go with what the first guy said. there needs to be more detail.

Another problem with 2fort style maps in hl2dm is spawn/team differentiation. As far as I know you can't tell the game which spawn points will spawn which team, making a 2fort or any two sided team-based map kind of pointless. Then again, I didn't try for very long on that, it might be possible.

Actually this quite easy to do. There is even a tutorial over on Snark Pit that tells you how. :D
