dm_locks

Postby Athlete{UK} on Wed Dec 22, 2004 6:15 pm

After dm_centre i decided that it wa sbest that instead of continuing work on my first map it was best if i leave it take what i have learnt and start something new.

the result so far is this. dm_locks. This time in takes place in a set of canal locks.

I've left the crane out as using the hl2 crane script in hl2dmwas buggy. (you couldnt kill the driver and when you got out you spawned at the top of the crane and fell to your death.) And i've also finaly got the hang of cube mapping.

At the moment i know there isn't much but im building the map in stages and this is the centre of it all, the canal it's self. I've decided it best i get some feedback on this before i move on to the next stage.

And spartan don't give it one of your patented rating just yet. It's not done :P

which is why you use "cheap" water rather then expensive. Warning noted though. I'm going to keep the amount down. dm_watergate has more water then im intending to use and it doesnt lag too bad.

3rd screen - the level is just floating - use a 3d skybox to stop from being able to see outside map
