My Project: Progressive Rock

Postby ghost12332 on Mon May 18, 2009 1:49 am

Like any self-respecting stoner, I'm an avid fan of the Progressive Rock Scene. One of the biggest influences on my playing was David Gilmour, the guitarist from Pink Floyd, and Richard Wright, one of their keyboardists.

I decided to branch out of my comfort zone and try my hand at Art Rock, and I must say, I damn like it. It will sound even better if you listen to it on acid :smt023

Now onto more about the project. I'm planning to pull this out to around 20-25 minutes, or a small EP. In order to do this though, I need some voice acting...

In short, I need a British Voice Actor. Someone who not only has a decent mic, but sounds alot like Blink (Hint hint :) ). It's just a quick 3 or 4 lines, but it provides the crucial background to the music.

The pitch of the guitar seriously irks me at some points, a bit too out of tune with the organ thingy for my ears.

I think it'd be better with vocals or something, as an instrumental it just doesn't keep my attention long enough. Not bad though, good luck with the EP. If anything you can just do the vocals yourself as a placeholder and see how it turns out, placeholders are always useful.
