Sounds looping for no reason

I'm trying to make Gordon HL2 talk and I'm using Max Payne's voice with ambient_generics played everywhere.
Even though Is NOT Looped is checked, some of the wavs loop anyway and others don't.
Stopping the wav or even killing it doesn't make the loop stop
Anyone have an idea?

I have this issue with one of my projects aswell. The only solution I can think of is to make a vcd file and set the Sound level to SNDLVL_TALKING.

I've had this problem before, it might be because you have cue points inserted into your sound file

How do I get rid of cue points. I use Goldwave

I have had this problem with a non looping sound. Depends on how it's triggered. For goldwave select "tools, cuepoints" then just deleted them.

I figured it out, thanks anyway- cue points were the problem
