Hi, I'm trying to do this tutorial:
http://www.interlopers.net/tutorials/26857

"Create a Soundscript"
but in the tutorial it tells you to put the wav file in:
rebellion\vo\level01\kyl01.wav = The path of the sound inside the yourModFolder\sounds folder

but I can't find the sounds folder? where is it? thanks!

If you don't have it in your mod folder, than just create it

The way a lot of Source games work is this: When a file is needed, it first looks inside your "real" folders (the ones you might see on your hard drive) for the file. Then if it can't find it, then it looks inside the GCF files (think of them like special .zip files) that Valve created.

So just because you don't see a folder or a file on your hard drive doesn't mean it doesn't exist for the game. You may not even have a "sounds" folder that you can see, but that doesn't mean there aren't hundreds of sounds you can use... they're just all compressed in the GCF instead.

That's why the answer is "just make the folder".

It's actually singular (sound). I made that mistake at first, as well.
