Looking for tutorials

Postby Welsh Mullet on Mon Sep 27, 2010 4:33 pm

I'm looking to start learning modelling and to eventually make models for my own mod.
My tool of choice happens to be Blender, because as a student i have nill cash flow, and i can't any programs free from my uni as i haven't started there yet.

Are there any tutorials for getting started in Blender?
And are there any related to weapons modelling?

I think you can get a 14 month trial of either 3dsmax or softimage from autodesk, and while blender is a good program, both packages mentioned will stand you in greater stead for a job in the games industry. I would recommend max because it's the most common.

Have you seen the VDC page for blender? It contains a list of a few (rather complete) tutorials.
