Does anybody have an answer or a link or a nice step by step guide to doing it in either Softimage or 3DS?

Could someone possibly post the method for enveloping an existing hl2 character in XSI using the Valve Source ADDon for XSI?

I made a tutorial on how to do this a while back just replace the $includemodel with ur own path

$includemodel "humans/male_shared.mdl"
$includemodel "humans/male_ss.mdl"
$includemodel "humans/male_gestures.mdl"
$includemodel "humans/male_postures.mdl"
$includemodel "humans/cra0k_lib_2011.mdl"

then compile a MDL animation lib
Mine is called cra0k_lib_2011.mdl

Just include the common bones and other stuff i cbf writting it here,

then add

$sequence "cra0_fall" cra0_fall fps 30

thats the cra0_fall.smd u export from your 3d software suit (i use 3ds max its better than that crap xsi)
