I can make an .smd file, what's next?

Postby stukabomber44 on Fri Oct 07, 2011 8:55 pm

Hey guys,

I'm having one hell of a time trying to find a good program for my school to make props with. Out of the list provided on the valve site for programs that are capable of this, 3Ds Max seems to be the front runner. (My college has Maya, Blender, 3ds Max)

I've created a small box 50x50x50 and exported it out as a .smd file using 3ds Max, but now what?? I'm not sure where to go and how to import this to the proper folder.

Can anyone help me with the next steps??

Thank you very much,

Come on man, if you were on the site it shouldn't of been hard to find these:
