Unable to decompile using GCF

Postby stukabomber44 on Sun Jan 08, 2012 12:19 am

Hey guys I'm trying to reskin some of the models in hl2 (rebels and combine) but I can't seem to get them into 3ds max.. I'm following this guide :

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhnKo5JqmCQ

but I when I do highlight them and extract them they give me an error "Unexpected end of GCF stream. Has the GCF file been completely acquired??"

If I try to drag them to the folder they extract to the folder... but have 0kb in them... so it's clearly not working.

I was wondering if anyone could help me out?

Thanks!

Open the "source models.gfc" with GCFScape, then go to the folder with the models and right click on it and extract it to your desktop?
