Prop animation problem

Postby Mehis on Fri Apr 06, 2012 12:40 pm

Code: Select all
$modelname "models/mehis/metaldoor/door01.mdl"

$cdmaterials "models/mehis/metaldoor/"

$scale 1.0

$body studio "door_ref.smd"

$sequence idle_close "door_close_idle.smd" loop fps 1

$sequence idle_open "door_open_idle.smd" loop fps 1

$sequence open "door_open_anim.smd" loop fps 60

$sequence close "door_close_anim.smd" loop fps 60

$collisionmodel "door_ref.smd" {
   $mass 10
        $concave
}

Everything else works perfectly except the animations. They appear to be reference and not moving at all. Also I would like to know does the model's hitboxes actually change during these animations. Do I have to use QC command to change them? Also, don't say anything about that collision model being ref. The model itself is so simple.
Compile log doesn't have any special errors either. I'm 100% I exported these animations as animations, not reference.

Try to see if you have correctly skinned the door model to the rotating bone. That would be my best guess.

Also check the sdk examples in the sourcesdk_content folder

My model is two doors opening. When I was modelling it, I attached the other part to another and that created only one bone. Which means that even though I skinned and animated my model right, the doors had only one base bone.
So it was all my own fault. I could detach them from each other, but the model was kind of bad... so I think I'll remake it completely with a lot more polys. Thanks for your time anyway.
