Particle System Displacement Bug?

Postby Mehis on Thu Sep 13, 2012 1:57 pm

Basically, I have a particle system that is set the collide with world. The flakes are suppose to go straight down. But as you can see in this video, they go into random directions. This doesn't occur if the floor is a world object.
Any way to fix this?

They're doing this because you have set the collisions for them to collide, which they're doing. But they have no friction to stop them. There is a friction value under the collision constraint.

But you should make the constraint collide via traces. Collisions against "the world" Often cause particles to spazz out. Where it says collision type and :NONE make it say DEBRIS
